Silver Wings - Toadley Unexpected

Serena had been having quite an adventure across the different worlds so far. At the moment she had found herself in an unexpected spot. Serena, Mario, and Luigi had reached New Donk City, an industrious metropolis within the realm of the Metro Kingdom. While exploring the city, Serena came across a strange clinic of sorts. Deciding to check it out, She and her companions entered, only to be greeted by a receptionist who said that they were being expected. Or to be specific, Serena herself. She and the others met with Dr. Toadley, who dropped a bombshell while meeting with Serena. That Serena's father, Samuel Gabena had originally hailed from the Metro Kingdom. Serena had quite a few things on her mind in regards to this revelation.
"So, that means I was part otherworlder all this time?" the Blonde questioned the Toad doctor.
"Still processing what I was saying? Yes you are!" Toadley retorted.
"So you want an explanation? Of course you do!" he chuckled as he began his tale.
"Back when your father was still a teen, he found a way to cross worlds. One of the worlds he traveled to first was your world Serena." Toadley explained. Luigi patted the flabbergasted Serena on the back, she was still taken aback by this revelation
"During his travels through the Sinnoh Region of your realm, Samuel met your mother Grace. The two hit it off, and married when they made it to adulthood." he continued his tale, Mario sighed a bit. Toadley was usually one to be silly, but for once, he seemed to be serious.
"It wasn't all happy though. After you were born Serena, your mother tried to groom you into being a professional Rhyhorn Racer to follow in her footsteps. Samuel on the other hand, didn't want you to be held down by these lofty expectation, and just wanted you to choose your own path. As such, your parents argued, until Samuel left your mother. presumably he left your world after doing so..." Toadley finished his tale.
"Does that mean my father is here in New Donk?" Serena perked up.
"Do I know where he is? No I don't. But this city may have some clues." Toadley replied. Serena then bowed her head in thanks and left out the door followed by her companions, a newfound duty to find her father in hand.

About the Metro Kingdom bit. There's a resident of New Donk City with blond hair in the game, so I took that ball and rolled with it.
